Accredited training courses
FAQs
Where do courses take place?
All courses are based in my home studio in Bexleyheath, situated between London & Kent, 30 minutes from London Bridge. Full address will be sent out in your enrolment email as well as all the finalised details of your course day.
What happens if I need to move my course day?
If you need to reschedule your course, you can do this up to 72 hours before your course date. Your course date can be changed once, you may have a short wait for a new date to become available although I will try my best to reschedule for your earliest convenience.
How do I book a course?
You can book your course by pressing the book now button at the top of this page. Within 48 hours of your booking you will receive an email from myself to discuss and arrange an appropriate date, or alternatively you can agree a date with myself first prior to booking your course.
How many people are in a class?
Beginners gel polish, the builder gel course, combo course and electric file course are all on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis. Class sizes are purposely kept small so you receive my full attention prior, during and beyond your training day.
Masterclasses are tailored to each individual and what they would like to learn, so are only available as 1:1s.
Will these courses allow me to work on clients?
The beginners gel polish, combo course, builder gel course and electric file training are all ABT accredited courses meaning as soon as your case studies are passed and you receive your qualification you are able to get insured and start taking clients.
Do I get my qualification on the day?
Electric file students and masterclass students will receive their certificates on the same day.
For the gel polish, builder gel and combo course you will have some case studies to complete first. I feel passing people on the same day is a disservice to my students, as my feedback and guidance will help you improve with each set you do.
One case study will be completed on your course day at the end of your practical session and the rest to be completed after your training day. Once your case studies have been passed you will receive your certificate in the post.
1:1 masterclasses are not ABT accredited although you will still receive a certificate of recognition.
What do I need to do to start my nail business?
For any beginners courses, I have put together 3 free mini guides to get you started. These will be emailed over to you after course completion.
The business start up - How to legally set up your business with HMRC, insurance types and record keeping.
Pricing your services - How to correctly price your services to make profit and how to work out your tax & national insurance.
Instagram - How to maximise the use of Instagram to advertise & gain clients.
What happens after my course day?
Even after you have completed your training day and case studies, my support doesn’t end there. I am always available to offer guidance whenever you need it, even if you are two years in to your career. Whether you’d like a refresh, struggling with a particular technique or need advice on pricing, social media etc I am more than happy to go over this with you.
I also offer recap sessions included in the price, for beginners gel polish, builder gel and the combo course. This is a two hour session 8-12 weeks after your original course day, for if you feel you need some extra support or would like to go over anything. I like to fit a lot into the practical day, but I understand it can be overwhelming trying to retain so much information.
